In 2003 BlueGem7000 attempted to understand the dynamics behind a professional chess players state of mind. The goal was to see if there really was any difference if any between the professional chess players state of mind and that of a lower level chess player.
So it was decided to undertake a radically new scientific experiment in which a total of 50 chess players participated in having there brainwaves monitored while playing chess. 25 of witch where beginner to average chess players. The other 25 where International masters & GrandMaster's. With the BrainWave Reader 7000 and the BrainMaster brainwave monitoring device we put electrodes to the voluntaries heads and started measuring there brainwaves activity during a game of chess and right after the chess game. The end results where astonishing.
It turned out that in the first group of 25 amateur chess players they showed very little difference in there brainwave patterns than that of a typical everyday state of mind. In this group the results where rather scattered. Some did show alpha brainwaves while other's it seemed tended to be primarily in mid to high beta brainwaves.

How ever In the second group of 25 professional chess players there brainwaves almost specifically showed far bigger peeks in Alpha and low beta. So instead of over thinking it was proven that they where more in a gentle contemplation mode. We also learned there overall brainwave activity was somewhat less intense over all. Has a result of this experiment we can conclude that in fact the better chess players have the ability to access the right attitudinal qualities required on demand to play better chess at the highest level with. They also showed more concentration and a more balanced mind state.
